Get paid and chase what is owed
Send a TripSetu invoice on WhatsApp, record what the customer pays, and see who owes you money and for how long.
Once an invoice is issued, TripSetu tracks what is still owed on it until you record the payment. Outstanding shows every customer who owes you, oldest debt first.
Send the invoice on WhatsApp#
- Open the issued invoice.
- Under Send it, press WhatsApp.
- WhatsApp opens with the message ready: the invoice number, date, amount, due date, and your UPI ID and bank details. Nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp.
If the customer has no mobile number saved, type one, or copy the message and paste it into a chat. Press Print to save the bill as a PDF and attach it.
Let customers pay by UPI#
Add your UPI ID and UPI QR code in Settings > Company, on the Bank details tab. When your invoice template shows them, the QR prints beside your bank details so the customer can scan and pay. See Company details and invoice numbers.
Record a payment#
- Open the invoice.
- Under Money received, fill in the Amount, Received on, How (cash, UPI, bank transfer, cheque or card) and a Reference, such as the UTR or cheque number.
- Press Record payment.
Part payments are fine. The invoice shows what is still outstanding, and a WhatsApp message sent after a part payment says what was received and what is left. If you recorded a payment by mistake, press Remove beside it.
See who owes you#
Open Outstanding. Each customer shows how much they owe, how many invoices are open, the oldest one, and their credit terms. A customer over their credit limit is marked Over credit limit. Press the button under a customer to show each of their open invoices.
The totals at the top split what is owed by age: under 30 days, 31 to 60, 61 to 90, and over 90 days. Age counts from the invoice's due date, so a bill still inside its credit terms counts as current. Draft invoices are not counted, because a bill nobody has been sent is not money owed.
Set a customer's credit terms#
Open the customer under Customers. Credit days sets when their invoices fall due: zero means they settle on the day. Credit limit is optional. Both show on Outstanding.
