Company details and invoice numbers

Updated 7 November 2026

Everything that prints at the top and bottom of your bills is set once, in Settings > Company. Only an admin can open Settings. Press Save settings after changing any tab.

Company#

Trading name is what customers call you and prints largest. Fill in Legal name only if it differs, for example the name on your GST registration. Add your address, city, PIN code, phone and email.

Tax#

If you charge GST, tick GST registered and enter your GSTIN. Your State fills in from it. TripSetu uses your state and your customer's state to choose between CGST plus SGST and IGST. Default GST rate pre-fills new invoices.

If you are not registered, leave GST registered unticked. Your bills then carry no GST and are headed "Invoice", not "Tax Invoice". Unticking it later does not change bills you have already sent.

Invoice numbers#

Invoice prefix prints before the number, so a prefix of AC- gives AC-0001. Leave it blank for bare numbers.

Next number is the number your next issued invoice will take. If you are moving from a paper bill book, set it to your next real number, not 1, so you never send two bills with the same number. It cannot be set back onto a number you have already issued.

A draft invoice has no number. The number is taken only when you press Issue this invoice, so deleting a draft never leaves a gap.

Bank details and UPI#

Fill in the account name, account number and the rest on the Bank details tab. Add your UPI ID, and upload the UPI QR code image from your bank or UPI app. When your invoice template shows them, customers can scan the QR on the bill and pay you directly.

Logo and signature#

Upload your logo and a signature image on the Logo tab. How they sit on the bill is set in Settings > Invoice templates.

Details on bills already sent#

Your company details are copied onto each invoice when it is issued. If you move office next year, a bill printed again still shows the address it was sent with.
